Lesson + Car Hire

Ideal option for those who want a final practice session before hiring my car for the practical test.

Note: This service must be booked at least 1 hour and 15 minutes in advance.

Who is this service for?

I recommend this package for those who are taking the test and have already done at least one lesson before.

If you haven’t taken any lessons yet, I suggest booking one in advance to learn what to do (and what to avoid) during the exam. The practical test requires a lot of attention and is full of details that can lead to failure. If you have a foreign licence and already drive, you probably have some driving habits that aren’t fully aligned with the standards required to pass. Taking a last-minute lesson is usually not enough. However, if you’ve already taken a lesson and want to feel more confident, plus take the test in a car that’s easy to drive and ideal for manoeuvres, this is the right service for you!

Frequently Asked Questions – Lesson + Car Hire

The lesson can be done in my car or the student’s car. My car was bought and specially adapted for lessons and the driving test.

Features

When should I book the car hire for my test?

Book your car hire for 15 minutes before your test time.

Can I drive a manual car if I do the test in an automatic?

If you have an international licence, yes.

What documents do I need to bring to the practical test?
  • If you have a Learner Licence: bring your original foreign licence (no translation needed) and your Learner Licence.

  • If you don’t have a Learner Licence: bring your foreign licence and Australian Photo ID (or passport with a bank statement or phone/internet bill).

  • You should also bring the Licence Application Form.

What do I do if I don’t have my original foreign licence?

You cannot use a digital version or a copy of your licence to drive. To take the test, you will need to:

  • Schedule a visit to your consulate and request a consular statement, which will provide an original document containing your driver licence information (bring this document along with your passport on test day).

  • Request a driving registration certificate from the DETRAN in your state and have it translated by a NAATI-certified translator.

What if my English isn’t good?

I’ve seen many students who barely speak any English pass their test. I’ll be with you before the test and will inform the examiner so they can give directions using hand signals.

Can I bring someone with me?

No, the lesson is individual. If you need a dual lesson, it should be two hours long. Please let me know if that’s the case.
